What to wear to work can be one of two choices, either we like to plan our wardrobe for the day (or week), or we agonize over this task. Choosing a dress shirt and tie to wear with your suit or sport coat and slack be the bright spot in your outfit. Are you someone who only wears white shirts? If so, it is time to brighten up your outfit. Take a look at the color of the coat you are going to wear, if it dark put a lighter color under it, other than white. All of the fashion colors can be easily worked into your daily wardrobe, lay out your coat, place that shirt under the lapels of the coat and step-back and take a good look at it. Pick out a tie that will have either (or both), the color of the shirt and the color of the coat or pant. The blending of these colors will tie the whole outfit together.
If it is a night out, then you can be as wild as you feel you would like to be. Most fashion colors will work well under various coats, just don’t mix stripe shirts with plaid coats. Wear stripes under solid color coats; wear mini checks or textured fabrics under pattern coats.
